It’s important to feel supported. Especially when it comes to offering internal pelvic work professionally. It’s a BIG thing! There are so many factors to consider, and very few great courses in the field. This is a relatively new profession to work in and there are many challenges and pitfalls to be aware of. It’s not a matter of just getting out there and doing sessions – we can come up against issues that need to be resolved, for both our clients and ourselves.
That’s one of many reasons why I created the Yoni Mapping Therapy Practitioner Training – it’s the course I never had but always wanted. Instead what I did was 8 different courses (with lots of content that was great but wasn’t always relevant to the direction I wanted to explore) and thousands of sessions and heaps of private training and eventually worked it out and created my own unique approach to this work that became ‘Yoni Mapping Therapy – The Bliss Method.’
However, in the early years I longed for an experienced female mentor who had walked a similar path.
Someone who had made all the mistakes so I didn’t have to make them. Someone who had a wide understanding of the different approaches in the field. Someone who knew how to deal with almost any situation that might arise with a client because she’d been through it herself.
Through mentoring my new practitioners, I’ve come to realise that now I AM the mentor I wish I’d had all those years ago! So I’m opening up my services as a mentor for Yoni Massage Therapists.
What would that look like?
You. Me. Tea. Or BYO beverage of your choice. On the phone or interwebs (or even face-to-face if you’re near Byron Bay, Australia!) One whole hour of useful, straight to the point, no bull-shit mentoring goodness. Notes and resources emailed to you afterwards.
How often should it be?
Maybe just a one off thing – to see how it feels for you or to resolve something specific.
Or maybe a regular fortnightly or monthly chat that we do to process all the stuff that’s happening in your sessions.
What might happen during a mentoring session?
Pick my brains. Ask silly questions. Feel understood and supported. Share about what happened with that one session that was kinda intense. Get feedback on that. Ask me about how I might handle certain situations. Get specific resources that you need. Find out what extra training might be supportive for you depending on your areas of interest. Work out what’s the best way to approach specific challenges clients might be having. Learn about how to make your sessions feel as safe as possible. Receive my words of reassurance or motivational pep talks. “Yes… you’ve got this!” Other unspecified awesomeness that I can’t think of right now. 😉
Who do I work with?
This mentoring is by application and on a case by case basis – so do get in touch to see if we’re a good fit.
I’d like to support women who have previous training in Yoni Massage and are CURRENTLY working with clients in this field. This is not a practitioner training by any means. I’m not open to help you start your professional practice, nor can I certify you in anything (without you doing my 6 month training course!). This is purely supervision and mentoring for those already working in the field. At this stage I’m not able to provide mentoring for male practitioners.
How much does it cost?
I consider my extensive knowledge and embodied experience in this area to be an invaluable resource, and I also have limited time in my life that I’m willing to spend online / on the phone.
1:1 mentoring calls are $200 for an hour.
Packages of 5 regular sessions are available at a slightly cheaper rate.
I’d love to chat about how I could support you on your journey to become a more confident, empowered and knowledgeable practitioner.
